Hennel Roman (April 11, 1927, ZabierzΓ³w near Krakow).
Polish philologist (Jagiellonian University 1952), from 1953 editor in a literary publishing house in Krakow, writer and amateur painter. From a young age, he was often in Zakopane, then he went hiking in the Tatra Mountains.
In 1952 he published reviews of the Tatra books. ("Wierchy" 21, 1952), from 1964 he published several works of satires. under the nickname Romuald Lenech, for example Lodowy ("Ε»ycie Warszawy" 1971, No. 141) and Powszednie Ε»ycie taternikΓ³w ("Ε»ycie Lit." 1979, No. 50) and two books under his own name: anthologia pol. literature Captivated by the Tatras (Wa. 1979) and an anthology of Polish humor literature. and satyr. about the Tatras and Zakopane under the title "Kpiar near Giewont" (Wa. 1987). From 1955, as the editor of a literary publishing house, he edited and provided introductions and commentaries on a number of books on the Tatra and Podhale themes by such authors as StanisΕaw Witkiewicz, Kazimierz Tetmajer, Jerzy MΕodziejowski, WΕadysΕaw Krygowski, and Jacek Kolbuszewski.
From the mid-1950s he also practiced painting, esp. landscape, thematic mountain (Tatry, Pieniny, Gorce). Since 1960, he has been showing his paintings at individual exhibitions in various Polish cities, as well as in Slovakia and Hungary.
